Ten Dollar Dinners

Last time we rounded up Twenty Dollar Dinners for you and your significant other. But what if the purse strings are tight this month. Never fear, Ten Dollar Dinners are here!

If you’re in the mood for fresh, delicious sandwiches at an affordable price, you have a choice of Meatball, BLT, Black Forest Ham, or the Coldcut Combo on your choice of bread and toppings. You can also select toasted or not. Every month a specialty sandwich goes on sale as a $5 footlong as well. Whatever happened to Jared? www.subway.com

Pizza Hut

Every once in awhile Pizza Hut has their any pizza, any size, any topping sale for $10. If you are craving pizza without the sale, make sure to visit their website for their web specials. Low and behold, another $10 pizza sale. For fun, I loaded the maximum topping amount (11), the price without the sale would have been $22. That’s close to a whopping 55% discount! www.pizzahut.com

Kirkland’s seasoned rotisserie chicken has to be the best bargain around. You get three pounds of mouth watering, tender chicken for $4.99. I’ve been eating this chicken for years and I never had a bad one yet. It’s finger licken good, sorry Colonel Sanders! www.costco.com

Fresh and Easy

Their microwaveable bowls are fresh, delicious, and affordable. I am slowly forgiving F&E because I finally caught a sale of their new products. Originally priced at $4.99, the other day I scooped up a chicken shrimp jambalaya, meatloaf with mashed potatoes, and chicken parmigiana for $9.99 which translates to buy two, get one free. www.freshandeasy.com

Do you have any suggestions I can add to this list? I can sure use all the help I can get.

Stay Inspired!

  1. Not that you would want it for a significant other and a date, but I fed 7 people on $28 at Taco Bell this week. I am still young enough to have an iron stomach on most days.

You can stretch the chicken further with a few more bucks. My wife shreds it up and adds ingredients to make it into a chicken salad, which then makes great sandwiches.

Man! I’m glad I didn’t visit BuckInspire around lunchtime! Good deals here. I’ve never had Costco chicken. Time to buy some…

Love those $5 Subway footlongs. Sometimes I’ll eat half at lunch and then half at dinner. Now that makes for some cheap eating that can’t be duplicated at home. The price of deli meats in the grocery store is getting outrageous.

I do too Lee! On the days when I’m not too hungry, I can make two meals out of a footlong, what a steal! Deli meat is outrageous, don’t know how they can sell it at those prices!

  5. I have never been to such 10$ food courts. If I have to visit one, I would pick a Pizza Hut. Is it a good choice as for newbie in 10$ lunches?

  6. I try to stay away from these chains as much as possible as I prefer to prepare my own food at home as it is way more cheaper. But I’ll keep this in mind in case I get a sudden craving for Subway sandwiches.
