BI 016: Stick To Your Schedule

In case you missed my last podcast, check out BI 015: Blogcast FM with Srinivas Rao.  Last week I missed doing my podcast for the first time in three and a half months.  I struggled to get back on track, but it reminded me of one important lesson.  Whether it be paying your bills, reducing your debt, going to the gym, or doing a podcast, stick to your schedule!  If you are trying to be a more efficient person, stick to your schedule to avoid penalties and intangible items like expending more time and energy just to get back into the swing of things.

    Stick to your schedule even when you don’t feel like it. Last night, I was busy and wasn’t sure if I could get Friday Night Links done, but I kept at it and finished. We all like to keep to a routine in what we do and read.

    Buck, I needed this timely dose of inspiration as I am juggling with many things and feel guilty about falling behind those that are more important than others.

  3. It is sometimes hard to stick to a schedule when things that are outside of your control throw themselves into your lap, and you are ultimately responsible for them. It’s hard. I try to focus on my priorities in spite of the numerous assaults on my focus. I employ habits and systems that keep me on track, usually.

  4. I use a schedule. That sounds funny but I find when I physically put things in my calendar to do, I do them, no matter what it is.

  5. I have such a hard time sticking to my work schedule, I’ve found I just have to say no to “spur of the moment” things to stick with my schedule. I let people know to schedule their stuff with me in advance, or when I may have free time.

  6. I think I understand what you’re saying here. My routine is grounded in physical exrcise. If I miss that, everything else falls apart. Your new baby will keep you on new schedule ; )

    Oh man, pretty much the only way I stick to my schedule is to make it a habit. Otherwise I’m all over the place!
