SnoozeShade Plus Review

Now that we’re smack in the middle of a scorching summer, taking Baby Buck out under our thick, fluffy blanket will no longer do. Here comes SnoozeShade to the rescue! I learned about them at the 2012 PLUSH Event.

Why Didn’t I Think Of That?

Some of the most successful products in history give everyone that same feeling. It’s just so simple! This thought raced across my mind when I opened my SnoozeShade Plus. At first glance, think of the inner lining of your windbreaker jacket attached with velcro straps and stretchy, carrier fitted elastic bands. Simple right?

Cool Factor Squared

Not only did SnoozeShade protect our baby from the heat, it looks cool. Everyone uses blankets, but our baby carrier really stands out using this stylish accessory.

Practical Design

The elastic mesh cocoon snuggly clings to the top and bottom of the carrier. Two easy to use zippers open windows to our precious cargo. One is direct access while the second opens a flap so you can see your baby, but he/she is behind an extra mesh layer protected from the sun, wind, and touchy feely strangers. Looking behind the layers, it’s amazing how dark it is.

Final Thoughts

I now understand why SnoozeShade has racked up tons of parenting and baby product awards. It is simple, doubly cool, practical and easy to use. Speaking of snoozing, I can also sleep easier now that Baby Buck is protected by SnoozeShade.

  1. It looks pretty nice, but I found that if baby RB40 is tired, he’ll sleep though anything. He doesn’t spend much time in a stroller so I don’t think the sleepshade is for us. We try to be home when it’s nap time. 🙂

More than just keeping your child cool, the sun is bad for his skin. Huge change from when I was young. I sense you feel a little bit “cooler” using it. Similar to driving a cool car!

Baby Buck has some cool parents who stay on top of all the latest baby gadgets. There were some pretty interesting things available when my kids were babies, but I guess the ideas will keep coming from innovative minds.

The SnoozeShade Plus has the sneak-a-peak zip as does the original SnoozeShade. This time though the zip is horizontal as opposed to vertical. I find that having the zip this way is better for me and ma kiddo as he can look out of it much more easily than he could on the vertical zip on the original SnoozeShade. It is also handy as I can easily sneak-a-peak at him without him waking.
