One For The Money Thank You Roundup
Ever since her Grey’s Anatomy contract dispute, I haven’t been a big fan of Katherine Heigl. Let’s just say this movie didn’t reverse the trend. Although based on a popular book, my guess is moviegoers won’t feel the same. Can’t put a finger on it. Should Heigl just stick to her bread and butter, romantic comedies? I just couldn’t buy the poor man’s version of Meg Ryan as a tough girl, wannabe detective. Decent performances from Jason O’Mara, Daniel Sunjata, and John Leguizamo wasn’t enough to rescue the film. One for the Money is more like One for the Rental.

I think we both agree with the love for K Heigl but I dont really know if this is something I would spend money to go see. I don’t know if I would want to rent it either. Maybe Netflix!. Thanks for the Roundup will surely check out some of these posts.
Yeah, more of a rental or Netflix movie night. Thanks for stopping by Thomas!
I am a big Katherine fan too. I haven’t seen this movie yet but I have seen her others. The Ugly Truth is one of my favourites- gosh is it funny. Especially the restaurant scene.
That restaurant scene was something to see! A modern day When Harry Met Sally scene. Hilarious. Thanks for reminding me Miss T!
Thanks for mentioning the mention (is this like sending a thank you card for a thank you card…?)
I kind of doubt Ill ever see One for the Money. We dont go to movies in the theater except for very specific ones, and who knows if Ill even remember this movie existed by the time it comes out on Netflix. We still havent seen Iron Man 2. (Though we did watch Dylan Dog: In the Dark of Night this weekend)
You got it! A thank you card for a thank you card. I think you’re on to something. Dylan Dog? You sure have a thing for dogs, haha!
I do have a thing for dogs. If you go to Dog Ate My Wallet and under the My Sites section click on Life by Pets, you’ll go to my pet blog.
But I also have a thing for bad/cheesy sci-fi fantasy movies.
And the thank you card for a thank you card, that came from my mother
A third place finish, even with heavily-discounted ticket confirms that this movie did not connect with audiences as much as it should. I’ll reserve my comments regarding Heigl, but this movie could have been a comeback or reinvention movie for her similar to Erin Brockovich for Julia Roberts. It could have reintroduced her to audiences after all of the baggage her career has had over recent years. That obviously was not the case at least domestically.
Well said Roshawn! Seriously, are you a movie critic in real life? Your movie breakdowns are quite impressive!
Ahh…. I had a suspicion that she won’t be great. I am not a big fan of her. I might wait as well to see it on DVD (for free from our library!)
Free from the library, cant beat that!
This reminds me of a spin off of Bounty Hunter with Jennifer Aniston.
Havent seen that one, but the story did sound similar!
Haven’t heard of this movie and don’t know anything about that actress. But I like “one for the rental”. That’s probably what I’d be doing if I ever watched this.

Not missing much here Lee!
I shot a movie with one of the co stars of One For The Money. Nice round up.
Thanks and do tell. Sounds like a story or upcoming post!
Not even ‘one for the rental’ for me. I’d wait until it came out on cable. Thanks for the link!
You’re welcome! One for the cable? Nice.
