Moving: Finding Your New Place
I hate moving. 🙁 I’m sure I’m not alone. What is that saying, “I wouldn’t wish this on my worst enemy.” Sadly, the chore, task, torture has come on me again. Turning a negative into a positive, I figure I would document my painful ordeal so that others can learn from my missteps. Secondly, similar to bringing down my Alexa ranking via the Yakezie challenge, slowly chipping away at moving will make a monumental task, in my mind, more manageable. Finally, blogging about it might take some of the edge off. If not, poor Mrs. Inspire is gonna have to deal with a very grouchy husband for a month. A grouchy husband makes for a grouchy wife which is never a good thing. 🙂
To get on the same page, let’s quickly review what got us here.
We need more space!
We need it to be affordable!
Let’s shorten the commute!
Let’s find a nicer neighborhood!
We searched high and low using newspapers, magazines, and craigslist. We visited countless homes, cities, and apartments. Nothing was up to par. Finally, we nailed one down using Rent.com. When everything is signed, we’ll even get a $100 cash card for our troubles. Their website was easy to use and provided a lot of details, pictures, and videos. The fun’s only just begun.
“Your mission, Buck, if you should decide to take it, is to move from your old apartment to your new one in a reasonable fashion without driving you or your wife crazy. If you fail, the secretary will disavow any knowledge of your existance. Good Luck, Buck.”
