Fresh and Easy Product Change, Kitchen to Go

I’ve been a long time fan of their 50% meals. Last week, my friend and I hit our local Fresh & Easy for lunch. What on earth happened?!?! Entire aisles of product were totally transformed! I thought a tornado hit and dropped a new store right on top of F&E. I’m a creature of habit and although the new concept looks interesting, I was totally thrown off. I wanted to leave the store immediately. Not to sound over the top, but I felt betrayed!

Besides the new labels and color schemes, there seems to be a slight price increase. My suggestion to the Fresh & Easy top brass, you need to ease your loyal customers to your massive product transformation. The least you can do is have an introductory sale of your new items. I may just be one customer, but I’m sure I’m not the only one who feels this way.

Will the folks at Fresh and Easy’s see my plea? What would you have done if you were launching a new product line?

    I have never visited a Fresh & Easy market. The food business usually does funny things with packaging such as make the package smaller and keep the same price. I find it interesting that they changed things and raised the prices. Maybe they feel they already give enough value.

    When I go to a particular store I want whatever expectations I have to be met. If they are then the change better be outstanding and to my benefit. Price hikes are not one of those changes I hope to find. I prefer to keep things I like the same as they’ve always been.

    I have a Fresh ‘n Easy practically across the street from my house–it’s the closest market to me–but I’ve only been there a few times. I never got into the Fresh & Easy habit. My youngest daughter and her partner love it and used to go there to shop all the time before they moved to New Jersey.

      Sounds like we’re cut from the same cloth. Funny you have one next to you, but you haven’t gotten into the habit. Looks like they need to step up their game to land you as a customer!

    I have been a long time shopper and love the new look. It’s way easier to decide and find what I like. Plus not all of the items have increased I always buy the burritos and the bean rice and cheese has dropped in price by a dollar..bargin. They had an Asian sale that was half price last week check out the egg fried rice and orange chicken, meal for two for six bucks!!
