Club MomMe OC Spring Family Fest 2015 Recap
Last weekend, I headed to The Muckenthaler Cultural Center in Fullerton, California for the second annual Club MomMe Spring Family Fest. I’m grateful to the good folks at Club MomMe for helping me discover southern California’s hidden gems. There is no chance I would have found these venues on my own. As usual, the adults were kept busy with activity lounges and expert panel discussions. More importantly, I had to entertain my always curious toddler with play and snacks.
Thanks again to Pump and Splash for distracting my son for hours with your portable water park! It’s always a fun time seeing the latest products and learning about new vendors. Here are a few that caught my eye.
Re-Play Snack Stack
If you want to go green and have cool snack containers for the little ones, you can’t go wrong with the Snack Stack from Re-Play. It is firm and sturdy to the touch. The lid closes smoothly to seal in its precious cargo. They are made from recycled milk jugs, dishwasher safe, and BPA free. To top it off, they come in many vibrant colors and can double as a toy as you can see how high you can stack them.
MomCo the app
It’s great that we have Club MomMe events to keep us busy. But what do you do on the weekends when Club MomMe is catching a breather? You can download MomCo the app and make your own event! I love their cute, friendly interface and buttons. After downloading the app to your smartphone, you can meet local moms in your area, plan playdates, and find services. This is truly where moms connect. As I was trying to login with my Facebook account, I was rejected because I was not a female. Nice job Jillian protecting your fellow moms! I may need to work on a DadCo app. 🙂
Moms in Media
I stopped by the Moms in Media panel and was inspired by all the amazing women positively influencing people’s lives. Kudos to Kristin Cruz, Bettina Bush, Laura Nickerson, Dr. Colleen Long, Renee Herlocker, and Jenn Brown for making a difference! Here’s the zany Kristin Cruz in action. Isn’t she everywhere?
Best in Show
Spring Family Fest attendees were treated to a high energy performance that could rival any of today’s pop superstars. At the same time, Sir Bernie and Smitty hypnotized the little ones like pied pipers. The great thing about Snooknuk is they seamlessly blend their terrific sound with valuable lessons for children. I’m not embarrassed to say that I enjoy rocking out to their Once Upon A Day A Lot More Fun CD while learning about crossing the street, not talking to strangers, and visiting the doctor.
Special thanks to Aubrye, Rachel, and Laura for another great time. I now know why Spring and Fall are my favorite seasons of the year. It is when Club MomMe has their Family Fests!
